Day 68
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

Day 67
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?

Day 59
There they were, in the window.
I saw them
and stopped
They were all wearing the same shirt
They varied in physical appearance
But I could sense they were part of the same class
Strange
Very strange, I thought
Then I wondered about their world, a corporate world
It seams as though the corporate world is becoming a bit more relaxed
in its attire, maybe.
none the less
Strange
And I looked closer And I wondered,
what class is mine
or have I switched one class for another
or do I even want to acknowledge or be defined by a class
Maybe I'll claim "different" -class
And I peered closer into the window, where they seamed to speak and relate on topics
I would never entertain
I am just like them

DAY 53
Everything has its wonders,
even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.

Day 48
![]() |
I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me-like food or water. Ray Charles |

Day 46
I have a simple philosophy: Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.
